Bill Gates

Bill Gates is one of the richest people in the world. He's known as a billionaire. He was born on 28th October 1955 in Washington, U.S. When he was 11, he went to a famous school Lakeside. That was the first place he knew computer and his best friend, Paul Allen. In 1973 he left his home for Harvard University because he wanted to be a lawyer. He met Stave Ballmer a CEO (chief executive officer) of Microsoft then. In 1975, Bill Gates, Allen, and Monte Davidoff issued the Altair Basic programming language. Then Gates and Allen bought the first software programmes. Microsoft was founded. In 1976, he quitted Harvard. In 7980 IBM (the name of the software company) employed him in supplying the MS-DOS operating system to the private computers. At last thanks to cooperating with DELL, Microsoft became the most famous software company in the world. In 1990 Microsoft issued Windows 3, an operating system of desktop computer. He got married to Melinda French, a clerk o Microsoft in 1994, and then they had 3 children. In 2000 he resigned as CEO of Microsoft in order to focus on the software development. He was known as a chief engineer. He began to set up the "Bill and Melinda" fund to sponsor for the university scholarship, anti-AIDS activities and some methods of disease prevention in 3rd world. In 2001 Gates was honoured as the richest man in the U.S. with his 54 billion USD - estimated property. In 2005 he was given the title of "honorable knighthood" at Buckingham, England. At that year he donated 6 billion USD to the charity activities. In 2006 Gates resigned the chief engineer of Microsoft. The last day he worked for it full-time was on June 27th 2008 and he only worked for Microsoft as a part time job in July 2008. Recently Forbes has said that Bill Gates is the richest man in the world with 76 billion USD. I admire him very much because he is very talented, intelligent, and always has consideration for charity activities in the world.
